1. Kentucky Derby -
The Kentucky Derby is a horse that is held in Louisville, Kentucky annually. The race is held on the first Saturday of May with over 150,000 spectators present to view the event at Churchill Downs. The event has been a tradition since 1875. The race is 1-1/4 miles and doesn't last more than 2 minutes. The winner's horse
is draped in a garland of red roses.
2. The Preakness Stakes -
The Preakness is a horse racing event held in Baltimore, Maryland. This event is held on the third Saturday of May at the annual running of the Preakness at the Pimlico Race Course. The winner, in this case, is given a hefty Woodlawn case, a silver trophy by Tiffany and also a delicate blanket to drape the horse. There are tickets available for $100, and these will get you closer onto the infield where the beer flows freely day long, and there are also other concerts and events
that take place before the race begins.
3. Belmont Stakes -
The race that takes place in Elmont, New York, is held on the first Saturday of June. This race is one of the oldest of its kind. It began all the way back in 1867. It also has the most challenging 1-1/2 miles around the track. The Secretariat, later on, came to be known as the world's greatest racehorse. The stakes are also the most accessible race. This is so because it is located right next to New York City
4. Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe -
This is a race that is held in Paris, France every year. It is one of Europe's largest and the most extravagant horse-racing events. The race has an enormous audience of thousands of spectators from the first Sunday of October. Their connection with the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club is the main reason that the world is racing at 4 million Euros
. In the evenings there is a full party scene with champagne and live jazz music.
5. The Royal Ascot -
The Royal Ascot is a Horse Race that is planned and executed in Ascot, England. This horse race is a week-long series of events as there are 16 groups. If in case the Queen or the Royal Party attend all of the event's you must dress the part of royalty. Although you are not permitted to get into the Royal Enclosure without some big-time influence and power connections. If you have any of these, then it is easy to access to you. When you do get in you are an audience to all of other celebrations going on other than just the race. Some of which are the Royal Procession, a plethora of food stalls, the Military Bands, and the races themselves. This happens in the Grandstand areas....
